Flash & Jana
On 16.04.2019 Jana was covered for the first time by Flash (Dexter-Flash Rubah vom Gollerweiher, DCK stud dog). We hope for our A-litter at the end of June!
It was love at first sight and a happy, completely free mating.
It could not be better :-)
Stud dog selection
At the end of 2018, I put together a preselection of suitable stud dogs based on genetic, health and visual aspects and sent them to the DCK Breeding Commission, which assessed Jana's eventual mating especially from a health perspective.
In January 2019 I contacted the owner of our prevered stud dog and arranged a "date" for Jana at the end of April - with Dexter-Flash Rubah vom Gollerweiher

Jana & Flash
Jana got in heat on 04.04.19.
With this, Jana had chosen the one week vor mating, in which Flash's family was on vacation in the Netherlands (600 km away)!
So we decided to also go on vacation on April 15th. It took us 9 hours from Hamburg (with breaks and a longer walk).
In the beautiful beach town of Vrouwenpolder, Jana and Flash have seen each other after 1 year distance (they had seen each other briefly in May 2018 in Bramsche and seemed to get along well).
Jana and Flash met in the evening to just say hello and play a bit- It was love at first sight!

The next morning we wanted to bring them back together for a short time and then try to get cover in the evening, but the two had had made up their minds already: a completely free and relaxed cover! We had not expected that so early. After a brief cover act both stood for 20 minutes butt on butt ("hanging"). The 1st time can not be better!
Same for the second mating the next morning :-)
