How Jana came to us:
After we had decided for a Kooikerhondje as a family dog, we were put on the waiting list of a breeder, who had planned a litter in the spring of 2017. Unfortunately however, the breeding did not take place and so we looked for alternatives.
In conversation with a breeder, I learned that Mrs. Bachmann was reselling a pup of her I-litter from October 2016 for the owner due to a case of illness in the family.
We had the choice between Jana (7 months) immediately or puppies in the summer.
Since we wanted to go to the Bramsche Kooikerhondje meeting anyway in May, we met there. Jana was sweet and playful, but still quite reserved. My family agreed to adopt Jana if she would recognize us the next day. When she came to us, happy wagging her tail, everything was clear :-)
She jumped into the car, behaved calmly the whole drive (she really enjoys driving) and, after having inspected the house and garden, settled in with us immediately. It's so beautiful to have her with us!
Jana's education:Jana was already "potty trained" and well behaved. We went to the a dog school "Trust Me Dog" to make us a team - dog school is mainly for humans, so we express ourselves in a way that the dog understands what his human wants. Meanwhile, we have the BHV dog handler license and focus on sport (dog´s agility).
